Maximilien
(a.k.a. Max)
Max is a tiny ghostly, wisp-like spirit of unknown origin, who is also the familiar of Qwyn.
He seems to be the long-suffering guardian of Qwyn, who he refers to as 'The Chosen One'. He is also from La Marais de Champignons and left with Qwyn, though he seems to disapprove of their sabbatical. It is heavily implied he protected Qwyn from forest beasties during their journey, much to Qwyn's ignorance. He has stated that he will ensure Qwyn returns back to their home safely.
His age is unknown - when asked, he said he never really thought about it before but estimated 'hundreds and hundreds' of days old.
Under detect magic, Max glows with necromancy and conjuration magic.
Max speaks (and importantly for Qwyn, reads) common, sylvan and elvish. He often translates for Qwyn, as the two can communicate telepathically.
Personality
Max is quite intelligent and wise. He is practical and rational, unlike his charge, and often has to stop Qwyn doing stupid shit. He gives off the vibe of 'a middle aged man who has just had enough'. While he is protective of Qwyn, it doesn't seem to be from an affectionate relationship, more an obligation (he has openly promised to 'impale' Qwyn - was it sarcasm? who knows).Abilities
