Corc

"Corc the Orc"

"I have but one dying wish. Please... open a bakery in my name... that has always been my dream."
Corc was the name that the Hat Gang gave to a Brughorr-Band orc they used charm person on because they couldn't remember his real name. He helped them escape from the Shrine of Savras, fought with them against the Orog and later against the Anchorites of Talos when they returned to the shrine, remaining with the party long after the spell had worn off. Corc was killed when he was struck by an anchorite's lightning bolt.

Personal history

As part of their initial escape from the Shrine of Savras, Nissany used magic to charm one of the orcs. The orc joined them as they escaped the shrine on a cart, and remained with the party long after the duration of the bard's spell. The orc had never enjoyed his life in the orc band, and had taken a liking to the Hat Gang. Although he had told them his real name, the party quickly forgot it, and they nicknamed him "Corc," which he didn't seem to mind.   Corc was present when the party fought the Black Spider doppelganger posing as an orog, and travelled with them ack to the Shrine of Savras, where he fought against the orcs and Talos cultists that guarded Markus Smith.   Tragically, a lightning bolt from one of the anchorites killed hit him, mortally wounding him. With his dying breath, Corc asked Nissany to fulfil his dream after he passes and open a bakery in his name.
