History
The Order of the Blood Fang was one of the many Knightly Orders under House Setanta of the Old Bloods during the height of the Kingdom of Man, and it was founded as a secret Knightly Order approximately around 3000 years ago. Most Knightly Orders of House Setanta wore their shiny armor and held their heraldry high in pride as they shouted their war cries and howled at the enemies of the Highlander King, House Setanta, and the Kingdom of Man whilst riding on the backs of giant wolves or wearing wolf motif helms. However, this Order's secrecy and subtlety is what allowed them to survive the Great Rebellion and to persist into the current era. Though their only symbol and heraldry that exists is a white wolf skull on a red droplet shape against a black background.
There are several Orders from a few of the Old Bloods that exist presently, all of which have either twisted their original purpose to survive or did so due to some dark practices and secrets. The Order of the Blood Fang is the latter of the two that imbibes the Blood of a Lycanthrope, a werewolf, in order to become pseudo-lycanthropes and to be like the supposed "War Hounds" that House Setanta was known for in legend. The practice is exceptionally dangerous an is prone to failure, however the successes and accomplishments of those who survive the process are of no laughing matter. Official Lycanthrope Bloodhunters, Barbarians of the Beast, and Druids of the Moon; that survive the imbibing of lycanthrope blood are exceptional warriors and hunters of monsters.
Presently the Order of the Blood Fang is rumored to exist and is persecuted by the Holy Order of the Light for its dark magicks and heretical practices, and by the New Bloods due to them being a reminder of the power the Old Bloods may still carry. To the common folk such "Knights" are heroes and tend to help those in need when dealing with monsters of all kinds that threaten villages and farms, as such they tend to live as errant Knights living a code of honor and secrecy. They exist to protect the Knightly Order and the innocents caught up in the darkness that exists presently in the Freelands by becoming monsters themselves to an extent.
