Middas the Magnificant
Lord Middas (a.k.a. 'The Abundant', 'The Life-Giver', and 'The Much-Loved')
Middas the Magnificant is a chief diety worshipped by the scholars at the The Scarlet Temple. He is the God of Fertility and Abundance, and is associated with the youthful exuberance and ambition. In fact several of the other gods compare his energic nature to the "inexorable coming of Spring", and that his Springtime engery cannot be stopped, however eventually spring must always yield to winter.
Middas is generally thought to be lover rather than a fighter, and even gave up his sword when he married Gerd the Giantess, only to draw the sword up again for his his famous duel with the 'All Father'. This act is so uncharacteristic of Middas' behavior it has become a question of scholarly debate for many centuries.
