Kaolevne (KOW-lehv-NAY)

The Kaolevne are one of the tribes of Kiva, belonging to the Chgai ethnic group. Although not one of the foremost koza breeders, they are an important aspect of its practices due to their binddrought, which is considered the most potent and effective in koza-rider binding ceremonies. Their typical roaming grounds are around the base of the Horizon Watchers and into the foothills, and not much farther eastward.
Like the Etir they are one of the smaller tribes, numbering no more than forty members pre-war and around twenty-five post-war. They rallied under Hezath Zalesper as part of the Violet Accord in the War of the Six. They are one of only four tribes to have their Head Tribesman return from the war, and contributed to the statement that the Valnoc would not be raised again.
