War of the Six

The War of the Six, also called the Jewelfruit War or the Ikam War, was instigated by the Violet Accord and the Pact of the Blessèd as they sought control over the newly-discovered ikam fruit in the Inebi Grove. The 'Six' refers to six Jal, three on either side of the conflict. Balaqalneyis and Seyis-Gol remained largely uninvolved.   The main military force of the Pact of the Blessèd (headed by Prime Nettherrose Altith) was the Golden Itoqir, whose system primarily came from the Itoqir of Ustraria that acted as its backbone. They were led by Tothjal Terbias Cuun, from Ustaria; Jal-Fiir Jonna Biqare, from Iyr; and Jal-Mulir Shedrogard Affenblau, from Unenshuut. They also employed the Hidden Company, a group of nine mercenaries led by Iknais (later Jal-Droxir) and semi-posthumously deigned the Droxir.   The main military force of the Violet Accord (headed by Ouni Kujan) was the Host of Selephise, also known as 'the Host'. They were led by three Generals (Titans) -- Hezath Zalesper, from Kiva; Scedal Basania, from Ustraria; and Aguthsha Intoh, from Unenshuut. They also made increasing use of warlock-summoned members of the Azgorach Horde.   The war began with the Tikkiss Skirmish in the Season of Closing, 986AC, and ended following Aguthsha-Titan's release of the Plague of the Bitter Hand at the peak of the Widow's Siege on the 33rd Day of the Season of Ripening and the Inebi Armistice that soon followed on the 43rd Day of the Season of Ripening, 989AC, thus lasting for three years. The period of exceedingly high infection rates and death and the subsequent economic destruction is known as the Long Wake.   Of the six capitals alone, approximately 189,000 lives were lost from the conflict itself and the plague.

The Conflict

Prelude

Discovery of the Inebi Grove on the 6th Day of the Season of Opening, 985AC, and -- more importantly -- the discovery of the ikam on the 51st Day of the Season of Opening, 985AC.   Formation of the Violet Accord (61st Day of the Season of Ripening, 985AC) and Pact of the Blessed (2nd Day of the Season of Waiting, 985AC).

Deployment

Tikkiss Skirmish, 12th Day of the Season of Closing, 986AC.

Battlefield

Varied, dependent on theater. The majority took place in north and northeast Unenshuut and the southern half of Ustraria.   Generally Agreed-On Theaters:   Central Theater -- A corridor from Korzhûn in central Ustraria down through the Rivens, across the border and the Tubisqu River to Keismeb, ending around Memboti.
Northwest Theater -- From the northern border of the Tycephaur Lake to the Root River, as far east as Ocalin in Ustraria and the westernmost bend of the Tubisqu, and as far south as Eibe in Unenshuut. The Haaros was officially exempt due to acting as ancestral ground for fauns.
Northeast Theater -- Encompassing exclusively the Qos Spear and Qos River, ending at the Temple at Willowbreak Field at its southernmost point.
Eastern Theater -- Anything east of Hooth's River in Unenshuut, with the Temple of Willowbreak Field as its northmost point and encompassing Gell's Landing, and as far east as the Acheche River and as far south as the Unenshuut-Seyis-Gol border.
