Muqa, Currency (MOO-kah)

The muqa is the lowest unit of the Hyinat; one hundred muqa equate to one oze, and ten thousand muqa equate to one hyinat. It is used predominantly by Ustraria and Iyr, and up until the War of the Six was accepted in Unenshuut; during the war Unenshuut would not accept it, but post-war is beginning to accept it again.   Like its siblings, it is a square coin of 1" with a central 0.25" hole. It is black in color and minted from non-standardized combinations of scrap/reject ore. Its abbreviation is 'qa'.   In order of value: heseta, hyinat, oze, muqa

Significance

The use of scrap/reject ore from the minting of the other coins was done in an effort to avoid wastefulness in light of early smelting techniques.
