Originally from a region of Lunasia called The Badlands, the Kaab had their origins among the warring Orc, Troll, Ogre, and Goblinoid tribes of the region. For the most part, they were originally independent families, who didn't subscribe to the warlike culture of their homeland. The Badlands was going through a transitional period, with tribes gradually being unified either through surrender or violence, and greater interference from the Turnwise land of Infernus. Simultaneously, word gradually spread of a growing movement of freethinking beings, people who recognised that strength could often come through difference, and cooperation, rather than dominion. This faction came to call themselves the Kaab.   The Kaab saw the cruelty and barbarism of their past culture and decided it was both unsustainable and morally reprehensible, and were well aware of the continent of Sinistria due to tales of raids and acts of piracy the tribes had committed on the Widdershins coast of the continent, particularly around the region of Vallessia.   Amassing on the southern coast of The Badlands, and with the threat of destruction from the warring tribes growing ever nearer, they used their expertise as shipwrights and sailors, to build a fleet, and set sail for Sinistria.   After leaving the Badlands, the Kaab made a dangerous journey along the Rimwards edge of Lunasia, close to the edge of the rim itself, eventually settling in the largely uninhabited island of Petrungul, Rimward/Widdershins of the mainland of Sinistria. There they founded the City of Kaab, in the Hubward/Widdershins coast of the island.
