Human
"Our people were lied to, and our solar system destroyed. The universe is an unforgiving place, and we must earn our place in it" -Feris the RenewerFrom an ancient lost world, the humans have scattered across the cosmos. Over the last several thousand years desperate collections of the species have traveled upon magically powered mega-city space crafts in the hopes of discovering a new place among the stars. The scattering of humans over the ages has resulted in countless diverse groups, cultures, and organizations. Several of these groups have found, or been led, to The Hallowed Expanse. Most are cybernetically enhanced, allowing for specific modification for a large range of tasks.
A Scattered People
With a millennia of separation, exploration, and discovery humans are one of the most diverse species in The Hallowed Expanse. Humans range from 5 to 6 feet tall and display a wide range of skin shades. Humans read adulthood in their late teens and typically live just under a century. Most humans live on the starship their ancestors fled Earth on, such as The Orion.
Adaptation at its Finest
Humans are by far the most adaptable species found in The Hallowed Expanse. When they discover new lands, they accumulate quickly and develop techniques to survive in even the harshest conditions. The species often build great cities, empires, and communities. The cultures, norms, and taboos vary as wildly as the universe itself. With a knack for technological innovation, they find creative ways to overcome obstacles. The best example of this is are the autonomous AI Constructs, who have evolved into their own identities centuries after their development by humans.
A People Without a Home
With no hope of returning to their plague-torn solar system, humans have no direction except forward. With nothing to lose and everything to gain, they are often ambitious, daring, inventive, and prepared to earn their place in The Hallowed Expanse.
Human Names
Human names are varied, but often reflect the culture or society their convoy orgionally represented on old Earth.
