The Orion
Designed by The Eagle Assembly during their age of expansion, the Orion was one of the first floating metropolises. Operated by a core of Humans and AI Constructs, the Orion more closely resembles a massive overpopulated city than a ship. Separated into six interlocked ring worlds, nexus points connect citizens of the city to the various rings. Since reaching The Hallowed Expanse, diplomatic relationships have been a primary focus resulting in an influx of various species, though the Ma'Kar have been the most likely to relocate to the ship.
Built sometime before the fall of Earth, without any thought of what it would one day become, the orbital station displays a mix of irregular and tessellated zoning. With an original design for a couple of thousand residents, the city now has a population of well into the millions. While residents would say that it adds to The Orion's charm, others find it frustrating - as the city is extremely complicated to navigate. With limited space, most areas have seen a significant upward spread as newer construction cannibalizes the buildings below them. While transport ships operate within each ring, many find it faster to simply walk to their destinate with freerunning becoming an increasingly popular mode of transportation.
In 152, Tano, the young CEO of Tagera Group, launched a community project to unify the rings. The wildly successful maneuver helped skyrocket her political career and voice on the Orion Corporate Council.
The Welcoming
During what would become known as The Welcoming , the city became overrun by Seraph led by The Emissary. It turns out his plan was to take control of the ships central systems and crash it into Kapaska to welcome Razael back to The Hallowed Expanse. A group of misfits known as The Agitators traveled the city, making allies, and growing their power. They then led the fight against The Emissary and stopped the invasion. With Feris the Renewer now dead, the spirit of Carbide returned from The Aether. They then infused themselves with the city and became its new core operating system. Since then some groups have sprouted to worship Carbide as a god.
During the conflict, The Agitators reorganized the flow of magic in the city. The flow of magic in the city is now as follows:
There is no central religion, with most citizens putting their faith in science. The Orion is run by The Eagle Assembly, an authoritarian technocracy ruled by Feris the Renewer. While the population generally feels that they are constantly lied to by their government, opposing action is swiftly confronted. The only other organizations with any real political sway are the corporations that have accumulated ungodly amounts of wealth, but they have recently found fierce competition from the incoming Ma'Kar Free Traders who have recently established multiple branch offices.
Overall the city values enlightenment over tradition, competition over cooperation, individualism over community, law over chaos, work over recreation, and confidence over modesty.

Culture and Design
Most residents speak "common", a mixture of English and Japanese, but in truth, the language no longer shares many resemblances to either earth language. Many locals have learned to speak the language of the Ma'Kar, as it has rapidly become one dominant language of trade. Residents are known for their elaborate piercings which are modified to connect to the cybernetic structure of The Orion. Architecture within the rings is predominantly metal with small and intimate building clusters. Clear attempts have been made for artistic and emotional design, but the constant overlay of advertisement overlays anything beneath with glowing neon lights. Salted meats are considered a delicacy among the citizens and are greatly sought after. There is no central religion, with most citizens putting their faith in science. Economics
The Orion Corporate Council governs many of the daily activities within the rings, answering only to Feris the Renewer. While they form a loose council, the relationships between members are anything but civil. Under their leadership, the economy has grown increasingly segmented with dramatic imbalances. Major imports include oils, gemstones, and grains, while major exports include technological designs, scientific texts, and machinery. The Six Rings
The six ring worlds each spins on its own rotation, only connected at specific intervals. Each ring is zoned as its own district, managed by a member of the Orion Corporate Council, with the sole exception of the Frozen Spires.Ring 6: Plague Borough
The poorest of all the rings, this lower-class residential district homes most of the city's workers. Originally named for the function as a quarantine zone when leaving the homeworlds, residents fail to find a more fitting name. At the center of the ring sits a grand tower, which houses the elite guards responsible for ensuring "the peace" is maintained through constant surveillance and strict adherence to the law. Even with the constant police enforcement, it has been impossible to maintain order on Ring 6. As such, the Brass Bloods, a local criminal organization was negotiated with and granted a seat on the Orion Corporate Council.Ring 5: Transport Nexus
Centered around monuments to the rise of the technocratic uprising, Ring 5 is a bustling transportation center. With a constant influx of ships in and out, it is the first stop for any traveler on The Orion. The Ma'Kar Free Traders quickly established corporate branches on the ring, and utilizing their network of contacts across The Hallowed Expanse, have risen to taken financial control of the districts.Ring 4: Druidic Gardens
Utilizing the magic of druids from old earth, Ring 4 is responsible for the production of all food and oxygen on the rings. Considered one of the most pleasant and enjoyable rings, it is often a place of comfort for those who need a reprieve. The ring is managed by the Tagera Group, a circle of collaborative druid concerned with the survival of the future of the Human species. Considered one of the most cooperative of the Orion Corporate Council, they are corpos none the less.Ring 3: Humanity's Palace
Utilized as an embassy district, many high-ranking officials from various species make their homes in Ring 3. This has been supported by the operation of a reconstructed rift-gate centered in the districts central fortification. One of the newest members of the Orion Corporate Council, Scorpio Electrics has gained significant wealth in recent days due to their management of the city's rift-gate.Ring 2: Technomancer Lane
Containing the "magic" of The Orion, Ring 2 is a hub for all things cybernetic. From connection to the ether, to research, to netrunning, this is where technomancers come to thrive. City leaders are picked directly from the pool of the brightest minds in Ring 2. The ring is managed by Hadescorp, who have exclusive rights to the research and development of new AI Construct.Ring 1: Frozen Spires
Kept at frozen temperatures to help persevere the most important technology's operating, Ring 1 keeps The Orion afloat. In the hear of Ring 1, Feris the Renewer sits on her cybernetic throne, directly plugged into the operating systems of the city itself.
