Locradians

Overly proud and stupid, the Locradians are a race of crustacean humanoids who claim to be the "first Hellecians" and equals in combat against their "brothers" in the Lanaxdrian Warrior States.

The ruling class known as the Ozoli or "hard bellies" are war-like brutes who's extremely durable carapace, powerful artillery claws, and impeccable Ichor production makes them living tanks.

As a Locrad gets older and bigger, they shed their carapace and wait for their new coat to solidify.

Until it comes back or to the few who can't grow a shell, they're known as Oputai or "soft bellies." Given their soft bodies and flexible digits, they handle the delicate work on behalf of their overlords. Threatened with pulverization if they fail or betray their betters.

As a result, this leads to their biggest weakness. The Locrads are some of the dumbest creatures in the sector. In fact, they pride themselves in their ignorance. Claiming the strong worry over nothing while the weak worry over everything.

Because of this, Locradians give the boring administrative tasks to their weak and feeble Oputai or "soft bellies" who subtly screw over their Ozoli in the contracts they never read.

Before the Final Hegemony, the Locradians were left alone by the Pantheon and not seen as a threat. That is until Archaenus recruited them and inoculated them as a Mixolastian Sub Species.

Given their new powers, the Locradians were the heavy tanks who demolished every structure they came across, Pantheon or not.

Following the destruction of Karoj-Menos and the Thermetolians igniting their homeworld Locrigrad in The Wedge, they took part in the raiding and pillaging during the Age of Anarchy. It wasn't until the Patrokonoi-Hellecia rallied to expel the Perxis-Sadem that the Locradians joined the fight.


However, they were given promises of posessions in the Karnian Bog (tricked into believing it to be rich in fake natural resources by their "soft bellies") for their part in pushing the invaders out of the sector.

For a time, this was life for the Locradians. The Ozoli would wave their claws around like they're hegemons of the bog when no one cared. While the Oputai secretly screwed the Ozoli over in every deal they scuttled into.

However, things changed with the coming war between the Lanaxdrians and Delots.

The Delothian Collective approached the Oputai and vowed to give them new mechanical bodies over their worthless soft ones, if they hampered their Lanaxdrian-supporting brothers.

Eventually, a split then a full-blown revolution occurred. The Oputai breaking with the Ozoli and establishing their own line that'll rule over their brothers when the Collective wins the war.
