Ysoki

Many seem happy to stereotype the ratfolk as the rodents they resemble as sewer-dwellers and scoundrels. In truth, the Ysoki are incredibly varied. They have homes in Vormist in high mountaintops, port cities and deep jungles. Their society is complex and in many cases nuanced, though unfortunately they are often marred by outside perceptions.  

Ysoki (Vormistian)

Also called ratfolk by some, the Ysoki native to Vormist are as varied as the island group's terrain. From mountain-top villages to deep forest encampments, to sailors who rarely see their home port for years at a time.

age: Ysoki lead short, fervent lives, reaching maturity after just 5 years and being considered particularly long-lived if they make it to 40.
alignment: An ingrained sense of community means many Vormistian ysoki tend towards good alignments

Keen Senses
You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that involve hearing or smell.   Scurry
You are able to slip and squeeze through small openings. You have advantage on Dexterity (Acrobatics) to fit through tight spaces and squeezing through narrow passages doesn't cost you extra movement.   Silver Tongues
You are proficient in the persuasion skill.   Ysoki Intuition
You also have advantage on insight to checks to ascertain if you are being lied to and on saving throws against charm effects.
Ysoki are a varied race, standing 3-6 feet tall and existing on a spectrum of lithe whip-tailed folk to much larger - but not always more muscular - members of the race.

Ysoki (Kozan)

The Ysoki of The Koza Isles aren't native to the island chain but spread there from Vormist - a fact the Kozan Caprini have not forgiven them for. They have adopted many Kozan ways, though they more tolerate magic use than actively embrace it.

alignment: Kozan ysoki are self-interested and cunning - evil alignments are not uncommon amongst them.

Superior Darkvision
Accustomed to twilit jungles and darkness of caverns, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.   Scurry

Something mystical lurks in the jungles of The Koza Isles, the hunt for which has changed your people. You have advantage on saving throws against poison and disease. Additionally, once per day you may gain advantage on the next saving throw you make against a spell or magical effect.   Ysoki Cunning
You may use the search action as a bonus action on your turn. When attempting to find a hidden mechanism or trap, you may add your proficiency bonus to this check. If you already add your proficiency bonus for this check, it is doubled, unless another feature is doubling your proficiency bonus.
Kozan ysoki stem from a small group of explorers who settled The Koza Isles. As such they almost all have thick black fur, and stand 4-5 feet tall - though you often find them hunched or scurrying to navigate the dense jungles or deep caverns that they call home.
