The Lucid Doctrine Of The First Deities

The Lucid Doctrine Of The First Deities is the oldest religion in The Lands of VeCoastal, it revolves around what they call "The First Six Deities," the religion is effectively divided into six different sects, each with its own unique culture and practices. One factor all groups shared is that they do not strive for gifts from the Gods or divine intervention but to prove how strong their faith is. In addition to worshiping The First Six Deities, the priests of the Doctrine have deemed certain bloodlines as their descendants, who they hold in great veneration. The preservation of their gods' bloodline is of utmost priority and they make an effort to ensure their legacy carries on to the next generation. To achieve this, the worshippers of the Doctrine enforce polygamy on these certain individuals. they are named God Progenies, on some occassions these descendants are gifted magical items that are believed to have been created by The First Deities. All decisions surrounding the religion are bestowed upon The Six Ministers of the Doctrine, a group of six arch priests that each represent one of the six First Deities. In many of the churches of the Levial Theocracy, particular infants are trained since birth to become a Minister and therefore are completely loyal to the religion and only think for the benefit of it, this avoids corrupt or greedy people from ascending to one of the most powerful positions in The Lands of VeCoastal. The Doctrine controls the Levial Theocracy and therefore is the mandatory religion of the country. Those who do not wish to become a worshiper are cast out, those who wish to follow the teachings of the First Six Deities must relocate to within the country as worshiping without living there is a forbidden act. All other religion is severely looked down upon and disgraced as they are performing blasphemy. The Six Ministers show a particular distain for the Collection of the Six, it is viewed as a atrocious copy cat of the doctrine. Those who worship the Collection are seen to be defacing the First Deities as the six from the opposing religion are mere mummers that resembled their own, created for those who are too weak to follow the strict beliefs of the First Six.
