Malnek Echen

Son of Arran Echen and the presumed heir of Crag Ayl. Strong, Haunted, Tattooed. 41 Years of Age. Tasked by his father Arran Tan Echen with managing relations between Loyal Clan Echen and the other Untamed Clans that occupy the lands of the Barony of Ayl. Having served in the shieldwall putting down marauders and bandit clans for well over a decade, Malnek has accumulated a proud record of battlefield victories. He makes his regular offerings to the Red Sisters, and his body is adorned with tattoos representing the gnarled threads of Fate, the raw material that the Sisters spin, set and shear for all of eternity. During the Tambar Rebellion, Malnek descended down from Crag Ayl with his warband of twenty men and women to seek out new glories on the field of battle. The Tambarists were everywhere and, as Malnek had heard it, would make fine opponents to slake his lust for combat. Only Malnek returned, scarred and silent. He refused to speak of what happened to him and his warband during the Rebellion, and has yet to reveal where his fallen warriors now lay. He instead paid each of the families of the lost warriors a considerable sum of cattle and coin, and has since remained largely at Crag Ayl in solemn prayer, only occasionally breaking his silence to deal with affairs of state.
