Having experienced so much death in their youth, Emelyn was almost preternaturally drawn to the druids of Carrion, who helped raise them until they were ready to assume the mantle of leadership. Emelyn and Eadvard III share a peculiar camaraderie despite their many, many differences. After the death of his son Erick Eadvard Dillestone , Eadvard III has called Emelyn to his court several times, where they spend days in quiet seclusion in the Gardens of Valor. Some say he has asked Emelyn to commune with the dead and speak to his son, a practice Emelyn fervently denies is within their power.
