Her husband was subsequently killed during the conflict, and she and her children have sought the safety of her sister's holdings in Banteave, far from the potential of reprisals in her home nation.
Now, far from home, she has had a chance to assess her situation and plan for her future... though it seems she's fled one volatile situation on to land directly in another.

The diplomatic mission was a bitter failure, and Mireille barely escaped with her life back to her home nation. Her attempts at negotiation had only made matters worse, and the ensuing conflict would engulf both their nations and cost thousands of lives before it was settled.
