The progenitor deity, Alios came into existence at the same time as its twin Balimor. Whatever fluke shifted the primordial emptiness in the first place created both of these gods as pure forces of Creation and Destruction. Alios set about creating the Eridium Spires, followed by Terra and the surrounding Elemental Planes while Balimor set about destroying those creations.
Alios put itself into a comatose state to bury Balimor, and ascended as the land's sun to shine holy light down protecting the land. It remained in that state before being weakened by the The Lighthouse; first by the Loredasan Creators then by the Godkillers. Its power was finally taken and sent across the world during the Soulburst, creating the 12 Aetherial Gods.
