History
Many years ago a group of mages discovered the Fire Spirit Serimet. They understood the great power it held and attempted to subdue it, forcing the sorcerer Yorda to bind himself to in a nearby cave. The order named themselves after the bright blue flames Serimet created.
Many years after the original cause and the binding of Yorda was forgotten the Azure Flame expanded into a larger guild-sized order. They traveled around Iocrias trying to find out more about the world. Secretly at the same time one of their elders, Ezer was searching for powerful magical sparks in easily manipulated children.
The order recruited a gang of werewolves to ransack villages for the Azure Flame to "rescue" children lucky enough to escape. They took these children to Bhamir where they trained, tortured, and brainwashed them until they were powerful
but obedient mages. The order killed Roman (an old friend of Ishenu and a recent friend of Flare and Gallese) to take the sword Omen and later succeeded in an expedition to find its sister blade Thorn in the blackwood.
The Terrasque Slayers killed the order guarding Serimet and Yorda, allowing Serimet to go free and Yorda to die in peace. Soon after the Terrasque Slayers raided their camp and killed all combatants.The last vestige of organized leadership was Ezer, who reformed as a Lich at the Skyblind Spire. He was soon after killed by the Terrasque Slayers. Any hope of the organization reforming was ended when they were legally disbanded.
Disbandment
Baron Frane Domus dissolved the organization, citing the actions of their former leader Ezer as the primary reason.
