Ishenu

Born into a rich clan, his family was in charge of an entire island county in addition to owning several noble houses in Cidash and Bhamir. He received extensive sword training from a young age that he used to become one of the 12 Heroes of Cidash who defended the city from the horde of Proto-Terrasque that descended upon it in the year 123.
His reward for defending the city was the newly fashioned Holy Mythril Blade Omen. He used this blade to lead his 10 friends in pursuing heroic deeds across the land of Iocrias. His life's work was blocking The Well with a powerful and complex barrier spell connected to a prophecy.
Knowing the dangers of the powers beyond the barrier getting into the wrong hands, he attempted to shape the prophecy to only be filled when the world was in a state of peace. He was singularly focused in that goal, allowing his family's holdings to fall into obscurity with no heir to inherit them. With his life's work coming to a close, he took to training a young Roman in the art of swordplay even telling the young adventurer that he would leave him his sword on his death.
When Ishenu died the day the last spell layer was cast on the Wellwalk, there was no longer anyone aware who the strange old man even was. They buried him there in the path with his sword that his soul had bonded to.
