A Marvel of Public Engineering: RPG Session 7

General Summary

"I cast Frost Spike on the spider."
"Alright, this blueish-white blast of cold comes out of Gúrda's hands, heading straight for the spider. Roll for the attack."
"That's a 12."
"No luck. The bolt of cold hits the spider, but it only seems to slow it down for a second before it shakes off the crystals of ice."
"So...I just gave the spider a chill pill?"
*Laughs* "Basically?"
~I try really hard to make this campaign a home and this is what I get.

Dramatis Personae

Heroes of the Story:

Gúrda Thérun, a Frost Dwarf druid from the wild North;

Geort Adanar, a human paladin, on the run from his past;

Melé Alkabahar, a human avenger, seeking meaningful work; and

Daz Dromégar, a human bard, searching for help with a task.

At the Caldia Bathhouse:

Alti the Bathhouse Owner who owns the bathhouse; and

Meti Aslingar, a fan of the fights in the Arena

At Teris Market:

Étan Balkar, the head armourer of the aptly named Balkar's Armoured Hand and one of the best of his kind; and

Bron the Apprentice Smith, his apprentice.

What Happened

Following their fight with the rats, the group continued to look for clues to the location of the missing sewer cleaners, but found no such hints. Instead, they got incredibly dirty with the dung of this place and began to head down the other fork in the passageway. It wasn't long before they discovered a broken door and the skeletons of several former sewer workers. Drawing their weapons afterwards, they weren't surprised when the spiders that had killed these workers attacked.
It didn't take long before the spiders attempted to escape and were destroyed. Having completed their task, the four crawled out of the sewer system and were directed to the nearby Caldia Bathhouse. They needed to get cleaned up in order to be presentable for collecting their reward. At the bathhouse, the four all met both Alti, the owner of the bathhouse, and Meti, who remembered Geort from his time in the Arena.
Following this, the group found its way to The Grand Castle and collected the reward for the quest. During this collection, Gúrda met a couple of wizards from The College of Mages and the party was informed a little as to the political situation in the Empire.
