The Bargain Barn

An important port of call for travelling heroes, the Bargain Barn was once a barn housing various beasts of burden and cattle. Like these places, it has a dark brown colour and an interior that smells of dung and fresh hay. Unlike those places, large tables carrying backpacks, tents, and other travelling gear surround the outside of the building and shelves bursting with foodstuffs, waterskins, and other equipment fill much of the interior.

Purpose / Function

This place has many shelves, tables, and racks of various adventuring gear available in a variety of colours and styles. There is a clear dividing wall between the foodstuffs and equipment for sale here and the various mounts that are also for purchase.

History

The Bargain Barn was originally a small holding area for cattle before the slaughter. When the village began to grow, the townsfolk needed to find a larger place to do such things and the building was given over to a dwarven family, the Zatâshes. The current head of the Zatâsh line, Wombi Zatâsh, was placed in charge of the business when the older members of his family were killed in an ambush in the White Guard Mountains several decades ago.
