Arwen
Lady Arwen
Lady Arwen is the daughter of Sir Barda of Cumbria. Her lover was seduced and enchanted by Lady Siefe, and Arwen tried to get revenge on Lady Siefe using poison. For this, she was cursed and forced to give hospitality to any who came upon her without the means to truly offer hospitality until she could get someone to kiss her.
Sir Gaius kissed her in 486 and broke the curse. Arwen fell in love with Gaius, and upon returning to her father was stricken with a great sickness of heart because she did not know if she would ever see Gaius again. Thankfully, her father met Gaius by chance in the city of Lincoln and he told him of her plight and he was able to come to her rescue yet again. They were betrothed to marry in 487 and wed in 489.
Alas for Arwen, tragedy struck again when Gaius was slain by Saxons in battle in 490. From that time on, Arwen lived as a widow at Shrewton Manor, refusing all suitors until in 498 Sir Felix proposed to her and they were wed.
