The Double Wedding of Margawse and Elaine

Marriage

Spring A.D. 492

Our knights adventurous witnessed the marriage of Margawse to King Lot of Lothian and Elaine to King Nentres of Garloth.

Our knights adventurous were stationed as garrison at Tintagel when King Uther's court arrived with several guests, including King Lot of Lothian and King Nentres of Garloth who were to wed his elder step daughters. Queen Ygraine is also there, and is very pregnant.   The daughters were wed in a ceremony outside the church at Tintagel, Mass was held, and then a great feast was had. At the feast, Our knights noticed that Merlin was no longer sitting in his customary place of honor, and instead Sir Brastias, former household guard of Duke Gorlois, had found his way into the king's closest confidences.   During the feast, little Morgan told Felix that she was being sent away to a nunnery for education since she was too young to be wed off yet and asked Felix to write her there.   Later in the feast, Sir Monroe met a stranger from Norgales who had come seeking his king, King Pelinore, who had left the kingdom chasing a strange beast. The stranger told Monroe that "without a king in the land, the kingdom is given over to chaos--plagues, famine, bandits, and encroaching wastelands--as it ever goes without a king."
