Berov's grandfather and disgraced member of New Frontiers Guild. Drindov squandered his entire life and all of the family fortune looking for Kurtulmak's Star. He's convinced the "star" is meant in the literal sense. According to Drindov, the original poem used the kobold word "zetwal", meaning twinkling star in the sky, not "presye" meaning twinking star (gem) of the earth. There is a centaur astronomer on Meditation Rock who Drindov wants to visit, but his knees are too weak.
