Session 5 - Infected
General Summary
The team talked to the injured tortle and the infected human and uncovered details about their past. The refugees escaped from a work camp in Crvena Vale far to the south of New Frontier where lizardmen taskmasters forced their prisoners to dig sub-aquatic tunnels for Sephadex. There were many more refugees that escaped who died on the journey.
When one of the local merchants became uncomfortable with the refugee's talk of political prisoners, S'thom retrieved the guards. They were just as interested in Gorgoroth as they were of the refugees. Things became heated, insults were given and then Berov lost his temper and threw the tiefling guard into a stack of crates.
The team decided to leave the area and head to Meditation Rock to meet Marshal. Along the way they attempted to hide Gorgoroth with Berov's parents at Dead Road Village. Runti and Gindroz | Loxodon Archeologists were in and suggested that it wouldn't be safe for Gorgoroth to stay. They figured it wouldn't take the guards long to check the guildhouse then Berov's home.
Gindroz explained more about the Lacunose and how it is associated with the Imperial Survey Corps, a department of COMPMOD. The ISC has been trying to recruit Gindroz for years, ever since the Night of Proclamation.
Giindroz also explained how it's really difficult for some folk to earn Blessings and for others it's very very easy. One man who made a lot of Blessings very quickly was Arnorr Coplin | Tiefling Lord of Laline Manor. Before the Night of Proclamation, Arnorr was struggling financially. His family were farmers but he prefered to steal than work. He was even arrested for murder but was released as part of the Proclamation and swore fealty to the Queen Mother. Overnight his farm had dozens of helping hands who worked for free. The Coplins had a bumper crop that year. His manor is more of a plantation that controls all of the farmland in the Moon Fields.
Before the group left, Runti gave Gorgoroth a bushel of potatoes and other foods. She asked Berov if he'd found any evidence of his grandafther Drindov | Loxodon Archeologist. Gindroz told them that granddad had a centaur friend at Meditation Point who has been looking for granddad.
The team decided it might be best to knock out two birds with one stone.
