Imperial University of Galata
The Imperial University of Galata is a state-sponsored university in the Empire of Sihalis, located in the prosperous port city of Galata. Its curriculum focuses mainly on the sciences and it is especially renowned for its contributions to Alchemy. The University is unusual in that it uses a series of grueling examinations, rather than social or political factors, to determine admission of students. Elves and Half-Elves of any social status may apply for admission, though the children of wealthy families are often better prepared for the examinations than others. Those who are accepted enjoy one of the best educations available in The Old World and generous funding from the Sihalan state to pursue their chosen field of study.
