Qualifications
Named Heir of the Previous Office Holder
Requirements
If the Holder of the Imperial Throne should die or abdicate then their Declared Heir shall assume of the Throne if they be of age. If not a regent shal be appointed in their Name till their majority
Appointment
They assume the Title upon the death of their predesessor. A formal coranation is held soon after and formal oaths of fealty can be taken

They are the Nominal head of the Imperial Bureauacracy which does the day to day governance but any Decree from the Imperial Throne is Law. The Personal Wealth of the Holder of the Imperial Throne is unmatched by several orders of magnitude. They, by law, are the ultimate holder of every piece of Imperial Property. The Title brings with it the Holder's Personal Collection of Magical Items which are selected by every office holder upon elevation and any Item in the Imperial Inventory may be used.
Every absorbed land, either through surrender or conquest, has a parcel of land that is owned directly by the Imperial Family and it's profits go directly into their coffers, bypassing the Imperial Tax Bureau.

The Royal Signet Ring is the symbol of office and if affixed to any decree makes it Law throughout the Empire.

1925 BF Solveris III orders the constuction of a new Imperial Capitol to better control the expanding Empire. Five years later it was completed in 1920 BF. The Entire Imperial Court was moved to the new city, Mor Daven.
1720 BF- 1873 BF reign of Empress Shontella the Implacable who brought more Territory under Imperial Control then any other Holder of the Imperial Throne
1258 BF Empress Helleny II completes Imperial Control over entire Continent, Order construction of Jade Circus which is completed in 1252 BF

Cultural Significance
The Entirety of the known world has been, at one time or another, under direct Imperial Control. Many lands view the Holder of Imperial Throne as a near mythical being who wields deific level power in the mortal world. Countless are those who are first brought into the presence of the Holder of the Imperial Throne and either faint or are rendered speechless.
