Mathye Castle (/'mæθ.jɛ/ or "MATH-ya")

This moderately-sized castle and palatial estate is the center of Kiofthotre. After the lich seized power in the kingdom, however, the castle has since been converted into a monastery by the queen.
The complex is modest by modern standards—small, even. Stone and timber walls surround most of the estate. Stables and open gardens occupy the fore. A small keep is used for defensive purposes while the palace comprises the middle of the grounds. The palace is also rather comparitively small to that of other kingdoms, but cozy. These have been turned into the queen's monestary and sanctuary.
