Mathye (/'mæθ.jɛ/ or "MATH-ya")
Mathye is the capital of Kiofthotre, the settlement that grew around Mathye Castle. It is the largest in the kingdom, and therefore the trade hub.
To the southeast is the outpost. To the west are the iron and copper mines of the Behemoth Mountains, which supports a robust smithing economy. The city's artisans and crafters make up the primary manufacturing industry for the kingdom. Here, too, are a bulk of the services found in the realm, as well as centers of learning.
Other kingdoms and realms are accessible north and east.
Demographics
The recent insurrection by the lich has decimated the city's population—previously at around 2800 people, now down to 1986. Regardless, the people have begun to rebuild.
