Kalani Luna (a.k.a. Kala, Lala)
Kalani Luna is a half-Celaenic-half-Atlantean from the planet Aello in the Celaeno System. Trained at the Areto Iphito Academy she awoke as a sailor senshi becoming Sailor Atlas.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Kalani is fit and it shows - she has noticeable muscle tone, which she has worked hard to achieve and works hard to maintain.
Body Features
Kalani's skin is an orange-copper colour.
Facial Features
Kalani wears her flame orange hair in a mohawk about six inches tall. The sides are either shaved off completely or cropped to a close fuzz.
Identifying Characteristics
It is traditiona for those from the Ka'Ino Islands to get tattoos as they age. Whilst Kalani hasn't got any yet, it's merely a matter of time.
Special abilities
Precognition
Due to being a bearer of the Atlas Starseed, Kalani is capable of precognition. This allows her to see future events but only as witnessed by another (never her future self) - so if something happens with no one to see it, she can't see it either. She is still learning how to make the most use of this ability - it does activate unconsciously more often than not but she is also learning how to navigate to seeing future events relevant to her needs.Apparel & Accessories
Kalani favours sleeveless tops (they show off her arms), though will cover up when the weather doesn't support this habit. She doesn't tend to wear clothing that's too tight, preferring some freedom of movement.

Personal history
Kalani was proposed to join the Areto Iphito Academy by her teachers and tested accordingly. She passed the tests and so attended the so called senshi school from the age of eight for ten years.
During her time at the school, Kalani did well academically and was well liked by her classmates and teachers. It was during this time that she had a fateful run in with Milena Gorski, which led to the two forming a friendship that grew during their years at the school and beyond.
Another fateful meeting was with teacher Serene Apollon who was the only active sailor senshi teaching at the school at the time. From their first meeting, Selene believed Kalani to have senshi potential, even though Kalani was upfront about not wanting to be one. In fact, for a brief instance Selene believed Kalani might be the newest incarnation of Sailor Atlas, until she learnt Kalani was from Aello (not realising that Kalani's maternal heritage was actually Ambrosian).
In the last few years of her time at the Academy, events transpired that pushed Kalani and things happened that weren't quite explainable. With two years left to graduation, Kalani came to the realisation that she not only had senshi potential, but the power was lying dormant within her. She spoke with Selene and ultimately accepted the fact that - unless she turned it down - she would be the next Sailor Atlas. She spent the next two years coming to terms with this fact and keeping it secret from all but Selene before publically accepting and revealing her identity.
Following graduation, Kalani joined Triskelion, a rapid response and emergency relief organisation that spanned the Allied Systems, though she worked out of Erda on Ambrosia in the Atlas System.

Kalani attended a primary school in her home town where she was put forward for selection to the Areto Iphito Academy. She then attended the Academy from the ages of eight to eighteen, receiving one of the best educations in the Allied Systems.
Employment
Kalani is employed by Triskelion, a rapid response and emergency relief organisation that works across the Allied Systems to provide aid in emergencies, as well as providing basic training to many other organisations.
Kalani also works for the Senshi Council, the senshi arm of the The Pleiadian Alliance doing traditional senshi work - tracking down and facing threats to those within the Alliance.

Kalani has a brother, Kamalei, who lives back in Ka'Ino with their parents and extended family.
Wealth & Financial state
Kalani doesn't have that much in the way of money. She has a steady, paying job working for Triskelion but her work for the Senshi Council means she sometimes has to take time away from it - and the council work isn't paid! Having said that, she's currently living in a really nice apartment rent free and is able to split the bills with her two housemates. So she could definitely be worse off.
