Sailor Senshi

Sailor Senshi are those who bear starseeds aligned to planetary bodies and are so granted exceptional power as a result. Usually they are gathered in groups based around solar systems but this is not always the case.

Career

Qualifications

The only things that dictates whether or not someone is able to become a sailor senshi is the possession of a starseed aligned with a planetary body - sometimes referred to as a sailor crystal.

Other Benefits

Longevity

A common benefit of being a senshi is living a much longer lifetime than is normal for that person's species or race. Most think of it as immortality, as they don't get physically old and so won't die of old age but they are still able to die through other means.

Enhanced Physicality

Senshi are generally stronger, faster and able to endure more than their non-senshi counterparts. This does vary depending on the starseed they possess but noticeable either way.

Special Abilties

On top of the above, many senshi also receive a special ability unique to their starseed (though there can be commonalities with others). These abilities can almost anything; precognition, hydrokinesis, heaing and time manipulation to name just a few.

Perception

Purpose

The purpose of senshi is to protect the planet or star to which their starseed is aligned. This usually extends to protecting the people living on their planet or within their solar system.

Social Status

Largely, the The Pleiadian Alliance views senshi as important figures. They are sometimes viewed as celebrities and revered for their superhuman skills and abilities. It is not unusual for children to want to become a senshi when they get older and attending 'senshi school' is regarded as a great honour.   However, there are some corners of the alliance where the opposite is true. Senshi are looked down upon and shunned, deemed monstrous and a perversion.

Demographics

There can only ever be as many senshi as there are planetary and solar bodies in system, so it is one of the rarest professions, particularly in systems with a small number of planets.

Operations

Tools

Henshi Item

With very few exceptions, all senshi possess an item (or sometimes a pair of items) that allow them to transform from their civilian form into their senshi form. Due to the diversity of the senshi between different planets, systems and galaxies, these items can vary greatly from senshi to senshi. A local group of senshi might have similar items, or they might have vastly different ones.   Examples of things that could be henshin items; pendants, pens, broaches and tattoos.

Weapons

Some, not all, senshi have access to a weapon, which usually possesses magical properties. This weapon can take the form of a traditional weapon - such as a sword, gun or shield - or it could appear as something more mundane - a mirror or a cup for example. Senshi normally have the ability to channel an attack through this weapon, or summon one from it.

Dangers & Hazards

Being a senshi quite often means fighting against forces intending to harm others. Because of this, injury and even death are risks that are frequently taken.

Legality
For a long time, the senshi more or less did what they wanted and it was just fortunate that for the most part they were decent people - they used their powers to help. However, with the formation of the senshi council, all senshi within The Pleiadian Alliance are now governed and required to follow the laws put down by the council.
