Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Balqie was a spry, elderly halfling.  Her body was stocky, due both to her profession as a blacksmith and the stoutness of her people.  She was missing most of her upper right teeth, the result of a few rusty chains of her work hoist bursting.  Occasionally blood trickles out of the wound, which she compulsively licks.

Personal history

Balqie moved to Lamm with her parents sometime in the 3710's.  Her father was a blacksmith and her mother a homemaker.  Balqie's father started a shop her named Banerfan's Barrows and Blades Just north of the market square in the Market district, where he and his family lived and where he trained Balqie as a blacksmith.  Her parents had long since passed away, leaving her to live alone in the shop.

Employment

Balqie aprenticed under her father for twenty years before the Ironworkers Guild of Lamm gave her official recognition as a guild member.  She worked for herself and had never put too much stock in the guild, but she payed her dues on time.

Balqie looked to be in her seventies in 3773.
