Count/Countess

Counts and Countesses administrate counties: tracts of land that may or may not contain villages or small towns. They appoint Barons and Baronesses to manage settlements and Knights to hold keeps and manors. They most often answer to a Duke or Duchess, though in smaller kingdoms, they may answer directly to a King or Queen.
