Monhar's Reign

Political event

2867MA
2873MA

Monhar, son of Tain, rules Youk Kingdom as king. His rule is fraught with rebellions and his twin sons Youn and Yout were tasked with much of the fighting due to Monhar's infirmities. He was ravaged by disease for most of his life. Monhar died in 2873 at the age of 62.

Monhar ascended to the throne at the age of 56 shortly after the death of his father.  His reign would see 3 rebellions within the first year and 5 more in the following years.  Monhar himself only led his army against one of these rebellions befor eit became aparent that he was a poor strategist and the sicknesses that afflicted him prevented from being an inspiring presence on the battlefield.  However, foreseeing coming unrest, one of King Tain's advisors had tasked himself with training Monhar's two sons in warfare.  Monhar put his son Youn in charge of the east and Youn's younger twin Yout in charge of the south west.   Youn quickly established ties with the Church of the Trinity in the area by marrying the daughter of a prominent priest.  He quelled 2 rebellions with very few casualties and even one entirely through diplomacy.    Yout on the other hand crushed 4 rebellions during his stewardship of the southwest, including a second Ostier Rebellion.  During two of his campiagns he massacred entire villages who put up even a token of resistance.  It is believed by historians that there was another race of Human in the western region related to the Jarsokkans that Yout wiped from existance.   Monhar died on the sixth year of his reign as king, leaving the crown to his son Youn in 2873.
