Yoular's Reign

Political event

Yoular, firstborn son of Youk rules over Youk Kingdom. The early years of his reign are fraught with rebellion, but later years were relatively peaceful. He reigned until his death in at the age of 74.

Yoular ascended to the throne at the age of 20 in 2773, shortly after his father's death. For 30 years rebellion after rebellion rose up against him, each falling in its turn. None of these rebellions were more than petty uprisings with the exception of the Ostier Rebellion of 2774. Yoular saw to the quelling of the rebellion himself, which was on such a large scale, some historians refer to it as the first Youkan Civil War. It lasted until 2776, when the Ostier family surrendered to Yoular.   By 2803, the rebellions had subsided, partially due to Yoular's skills as a leader and partially due to the fear of the king's top generals and their forces.   Yoular spent his remaining 24 years as king developing Youk and gaining legitimacy and recognition from nations far and wide.   In 2827, Yoular died in his bed surrounded by his family and close friends.
