Grand Duchy of Ehrsbach
The Grand Duchy of Ehrsbach is a rotten and desolate place, inhabited by some of the worst beings the world has to offer: Vampires, Werewolves, Demons, all kinds of cultists and crazed aberrant entities call this place their home. Ehrsbach is divided among 5 different houses that hold control over the land: House Dracul, Clan Winterfang, The Children of Krill, The Draconic Enclave and The Order of Ad'grul.
Diving the land amongst themselves, each of these groups constantly battle for control of each other’s territory and political power. Spying, assassinating and blackmailing are common and expected practices among the nobility of Ehrsbach. However, past all of their differences, the 5 houses serve one common ruler that keeps them in check: Him
He is shrouded in mystery and terror. It is said that He has existed for centuries.
Despite the darkness and horror that surrounds Him, some say that He was once a mortal being who became imbued with immense power through a mysterious and forbidden ritual. Others whisper that He is an otherworldly being, a god or demon that has taken physical form.
The truth of His origin is known only to a few, and even those who have communed with Him are left with more questions than answers. Some say that He is a being of pure chaos, who delights in the suffering of mortals and His subjects. Others believe that He is a benevolent deity, who seeks to protect His people from the dangers of the outside world.
Regardless of His true nature, the mere mention of His name is enough to strike fear into the hearts of even the most hardened and bloodthirsty denizens of Ehrsbach. The leaders of the noble houses tremble at the thought of defying Him, and the mere suggestion of rebellion is met with swift and merciless punishment.
Some have even claimed that He is not truly mortal, that He is an immortal being with the power to shape reality to His will. It is said that His very presence warps the fabric of the universe, and that those who come into contact with Him are forever changed, their minds twisted and corrupted by His power.
As for His appearance, there are many conflicting reports. Some say that He is a grotesque mound of flesh, writhing and pulsating with unseen energy. Others describe Him as a towering figure, clad in dark robes and surrounded by a halo of swirling energy. Still others claim that He is little more than a disembodied voice, speaking directly into the minds of His subjects.
Whatever the truth of Him may be, one thing is certain: He is a force to be reckoned with, and those who dare to defy Him do so at their own peril.
