The Tall Pines

Geography

A dense forest of pine trees stretches miles into the air, with glistening white pine leaves shining in the dark expanse of the thick forest canopy. Tree roots stand as high as a person may, threatening to trip up those who aren't careful when they travel. The landscape eventually rises in elevation, as does the density of the nature itself. A long, beautiful river runs through the length of the forest.

Ecosystem

Works similarly to a typical forest, though heavily infused with Fey magics. Some of these spirits aid and abet the nature while others lash against it, especially in recent years as the Seeker incursions effects continue to rear their head and advance, causing an unrest in the population. Dire beasts are more populous here, thriving amongst the titanic trees.

Localized Phenomena

Animated trees, silvered fog, gaseous anomalies, elevated elemental forces, magical mushrooms, powerful primal fruits, and many other manner of magical activity, granted by fey magics.

Fauna & Flora

Many Dire Beasts exist here, often hunted in the past by various tribes as well as many awakened animals which thrive with their heightened intelligence, all existing in relative harmony with the chaotic atmosphere.

Natural Resources

All manner of woodland natural resources as well as many magical sources such as enchanted fauna and many monsters with valuable parts.

History

A deep wood inhabited with a variety of Fey creatures which has grown for many centuries. The Eladrin natives have largely migrated long ago, while the Wild Elves have hidden and scattered. Due to this the area has become much more unstable like the rest of the continent, though in particular darker elements are known to rest here, with mysterious activity within. Much else of the history of the area is lost to time, or only known by those that dwell deep within, often beyond the veil......

Tourism

Occasional hunters, explorers of varying goals and aptitudes, natives going to and from the mountains, and wayward Lycans sent to Glimmermist Grove by The Scapegoats.
