Serrenna (ser-ren-uh)

Mistress of the Forests, Goddess of the Woodlands

Serrenna is a demi-god and protector of the forest and all woodland creatures. She sometimes appears as an elf with golden tresses and vines and flowers woven into her hair, and the tail of a fox. Her garb varies, ranging from the serviceable clothing of a forester or ranger to the delicate gown of an elven princess, but it is always forest green. While she can take on the appearance of any woodland creature, her favorite form is that of a white unicorn with a silver horn.

Serrenna does have a holy symbol that is traditionally carried by her followers, particularly The Wardens Of The Druidwash, and that is a pendant of a unicorn's head made of silver.

Tenets of Faith

Serrenna does not have an established doctrine, or a religious order of priests spreading her message. Her followers are those who seek to protect the forest, and all who live within it. Most rangers and good-aligned druids (the non-good tend to pledge their service to Silvanus ), elves, and the like revere Serrenna, and seek to protect her creation and domains. In return, she bestows her divine magic upon her followers and wardens to aid them in driving out those who would despoil the woods.
Woodland temples to Serenna are often open-air affairs with only trees for a roof. Small shrines to her are occasionally found in forest villages.
Serrenna exhorts her followers to live in harmony with their woodland homes, taking only what they need. The bounty of the forest, Serenna teaches, is a gift to be cherished and appreciated, not a treasure to be coveted or looted.

Holidays

Festival of the Forest: A celebration of nature and wildlife, with tree planting ceremonies, nature walks, and wildlife conservation activities. Serenna is honored with offerings of fruits and flowers. This festival is typically held by druids, and the Wardens Of The Druidwash, and other more remote settlements. It takes place during the month pf Greenshade.

Serrenna watches over all good people who live in the forest, love the woodlands, or make their livelihood there. She likewise protects forests and woodlands from destruction or overuse.

Serrena is the offspring of Silvanus and a powerful fey that dwells on The Divine Isles of Arborea. She is considered a demi-god, because she was not born of two parents that possess divinity. The species known as Catfolk are descendants of the first litter she birthed after mating with Goldmane, the Beast-King of cats. They worship and venerate Serenna as their goddess and their mother who created them.
