Falkenberg : The Floating Anchor
The Floating Anchor is the Tavern in Falkenberg. Similar to a traditional Skellige roundhouse, with Stonehalf walls and a cavernous Timber roof. Only the deep laughter and cheers form within belies its true Nature. When you enter the doorway, you are greated by smells of spiced beers and cooked meats. The people of Skellige are stubborn but kind, and seeing a group of cold travellers, they shuffle to make soace at the central fire. Next to the fire you see a large wooden idol. Its crude manufacture made it hard to distingush from the other dark wood tables and chairs, but as your eyes adjust to the dimly lit room, its warm and inviting smile catches your eyes. "Do you know of the Old Gods" says a man dressed in simple garb turning a spit over the fire. "Thats the Lady of the Hearth" he points ......
Not much meat on offer at present. Lady of the Earth day is next week, so livestock are being prepared to be sacrificed
The Bar is past the fire, on the opposite side of the Tavern to the Doorway. The bar little more than a raised desk holds only one large keg, You suspect this is the only beverage on offer. Hanging above where you stand, affixed to the curve of the roundhouse roof you see what looks like a huge black arrow. Unlike any anchor you have ever seen it is pointy, From tip to tail 5m. A shaft as thick as a mans chest it must weigh 5 tonnes.
