Falkenberg

Before the Draken Empire ventured to the Skellige isles, Falkenberg was the largest settlement. The Falkenberg Hold is far reaching and known for the Falkenberg Black Hog and vast fertile farmlands Nestled between the Skellie Sea and the Ardeonaig Mountains It is seen as the humble Heart of the Skellige isles. Now the Second largest settlement in the Isles of Skellige. it is located on the southern tip of Skåtøy , it receives merchant ships , and trade goods through out the summer months, but visitors are less common.
To the North Lies the Forrest of Gairlochy Scardroy Quarry and Ruined Standing stones of Callanish

Demographics

The population is predominantly Human of Nord  ethnicity. The Daoine pride themselves in their humble nature, and thus don't seek material wealth. In town there are many craftsmen, but the rest of the hold is arable land, Farmers and their families spread out among many homesteads

Government

Jarl Jyrik Magnersson is the Head of Law and order in Falkenberg . he is in charge of the Daoineguard in this region.

Infrastructure

There are Falkenberg Dry Dock , Windmills,  a furnace in the The Calibhin Forge .

Architecture

The paths and streets are well trodden mud. You suspect in a rainstorm they could become treacherous , but the people here are not intrested in finery. Most buildings are Short and squat roundhouses to help fend off the brisk wind, that would bring most flat walls down. Ardeonaig Mountains stone from Scardroy Quarry  is used for the short walls of all buildings and timber from theForrest of Gairlochy is used for the roofs.

Geography

On the Edge of the sea, Falkenberg is mostly an area of fertile land used for farming. it receives merchant ships , and trade goods through out the summer months, but visitors are less common from Falkenberg. To the north lies the Forrest of Gairlochy
