Aliford Tidepusher
Aliford "Al" Tidepusher
Aliford Tidepusher was a gruff halfling fisherman that resided in Saltmarsh and was married to the drow potion crafted and fish knack creator Sindy Tidepusher.
Al met Sindy in 1399 when he took it upon himself to defend her from the rampaging vampire Xolec who was intent on having Sindy for himself. Over the course of his protection, the two of them fell in love, and married in the first decade of the 15th century.
Al began working for his wife full-time, using his diving suit to simply walk into the ocean and retrieve from her any ingridients she needed for her potions and, starting in the 1490s, her fish knacks.
When Xolec was briefly free again in Nightal of 1496, Al took it upon himself to again defend his wife with illfitting armor and a too-large crossbow.
Al passed away in 1501 of old age at his wife's side.

By the end of his life, Al's gruffness had become reflected in his speech with a near impenetrable grumble that Sindy seemed to understand with little difficulty.
