Amrik Vanthampur

Amrik Vanthampur is the middle child of the now deceased Duke Thalamara Vanthampur of Baldur's Gate, and the heir to the Vanthampur name following the death of his oldest brother Thurstwell and the disappearance of his younger brother Mortlock.
Though not as dedicated to the cult of Zariel as his older brother and mother, Amrik still assisted their schemes during the early days of the Damnation of Elturel. Based out of the Low Lantern, Amrik acted as the frontman for a human smuggling operation that brought Elturians fleeing the destruction of their city inside the walls of Baldur's Gate. Doing so allowed Amrik to cross reference the refugees' names with a list of Hellriders and members of the Order of the Companion, allowing his brother Mortlock to send cultists of the Dead Three to assassinate any relatives or members of the Elturian military.
Following his mother and oldest brother's assassination by the Lost Star Detectives, and the disappearance of Mortlock, Amrik assumed the position of head of the Vanthampur family at a time where nearly all eyes of the city were turned towards them. Their cult connections exposed, Amrik worked to desperately to remove himself from his mother's activities, and subsequent investigations by the Watch resulted in Amrik losing many of the gains his mother had made in life.
