Dauner Ilzimmer is the current Lord of Amphail.
History
Dauner Ilzimmer was born in 1441 in Amphail. At a young age, he became good friends with Harmon Tholme, who would later become his closest confidant and head general. By 1492, Ilzimmer was the lord of Amphail. In later Hammer, following the peasant uprising in Salt Lake, Ilzimmer dispatched Tholme, now a general, to stop the uprising before it spread to nearby settlements. He was especially concerned with ending the Siege of Salt Lake before Waterdeep sent their armies, as Ilzimmer wanted to established Amphail as an equal partner in the Lord's Alliance. Ilzimmer himself arrived at the front lines outside Salt Lake following the return of the Eye of Akadi by the Breadwinners. Ilzimmer arrested the adventurer's militia escort and attempted to take control of the situation and crush the rebellion. However, the Breadwinners persuaded him to give negotiation a chance, leading to the siege's bloodless end. Ilzimmer also stripped Artus Goldfinch of his title after he learned of Artus's role in causing the crisis. He bestowed the barony on Mariana Goldfinch instead. Ilzimmer would later join the Council of Waterdeep as a member of the Lord's Alliance. While on the Council, Ilzimmer was one of the Breadwinners greatest supporters. Following the Great Dragon War, Ilzimmer returned to ruling Amphail, spending most of his time with his greatest treasure, his beloved horses.
