Draakhorn
The Draakhorn was a gift from Tiamat in the war between dragons and giants. It was once the horn of her ancient red dragon consort, Ephelomon, that she gave to dragonkind to help them in their war against the giants. The Draakhorn is a signaling device, and it is so large that it requires at least 10 humanoid sized creatures to hold it while another creature sounds it, making the earth resonate to its call.
In 1492, the Cult of the Dragon used to the Draakhorn to signal dragons across the Sword Coast that great change was coming. It was housed in the Well of Dragons for the majority of the Great Dragon War until it was silenced by the Breadwinners during the Battle at the Well of Dragons. Following the war, the Draakhorn was turned over to the Metallic Dragon Council.
Significance
The Draakhorn was originally created to serve as a signalling device fro chromatic dragons. Though the ancient signals have been lost to time, a call on the Draakhorn is still recognized a message to all chromatic dragons that great change is coming.
