Many Moons War

The Many Moons War (1434-1437) was an extended war between the forces of the Silver Marches and an alliance of the Kingdom of Many-Arrows and drow. Though the orc-drow alliance made significant gains, such as the capture of Nettlemurk Hall, the war ended inconclusively.

Legacy

The Many Moons War was so called for the belligerents involved. The Silver Marches marched under the banner of Selune, the goddess of the moon. In addition, the Marches were bolstered by worshipers of Eilistraee, the elven moon goddess.
The loss of Nettlemurk Hall during the war resulted in the mass exodus of Clan Velgrund, with them ultimately ending up in Neverwinter. King Baramir Velgrund would not forgive the Silver Marches for abandoning his people and has spent the past 60+ years attempting to reclaim his home.
