Port Llast
Port Llast is a small town 35 miles north of Neverwinter that has historically been a close ally of its larger, southern neighbor. That close relationship was formalized in 1496 when Port Llast became one of the founding members of the Neveren Alliance.
Government
Port Llast is goverened by a town council that is overseen by the First Captain, an old title that harkens back to the city's founding by a northman raider and explorer.
Defences
Port Llast is protected by a small local garrison that is bolstered by a contingent of the Neverwinter Guard and a small collection of men-at-arms from other cities of the Lords' Alliance, such as Baldur's Gate. The reason for the Neveren and Lords' Alliance interest in protecting Port Llast is to check any potential southern expansion of Luskan, as the northern rival to Neverwinter has longed craved a warmer water port.
