Emros
A massive volcanic island to the south of Oros but is considered part of the Oros continent. It marks the southern border of Oros and the northern border of The Emerald Ocean.
Culture
The culture of Emros varies.
To the west are old cities that have been restored from ruins where businesses thrive under the watch of the royals in charge.
To the north are growing shipping and fishing towns, though the demand for these growing towns is somewhat limited with some town being abandoned just as quick as they filled up.
To the east are tribes of humans who seeked to use the smoke drift from the islands volcanoes to hide during The Scouring, to some success. However they turned into violent nomadic tribes with rumours of cannibalism as both a survival method and a way to dominate other tribes.
Demography and Population
The cities to the west, especially Brixellum, are a melting pot for many of the races of Oros and The Emerald Ocean. Some have kept their ties and traditions from their home lands, whereas many have intergrated into the muli-cultural society. It is also noted for the common appearance of visitors from underwater towns that come to trade with the surface dwellers.
The towns to the north are mainly human and halfling, with strong ties to the western cities.
The tribes to the east have been isolated for quite some time, and make up of nearly 100% of humans. They tend to attack visitors on sight.
Technological Level
Emros lacks the Gnomish technolgy of The Second Oriana Imperium and Insomnia.
Trade & Transport
One of the ways this country makes money is by being a safe haven. The government refuses to arrest or deport anyone for any crimes, obligations, or responsibilities of its residents that they have in other countries. This makes Emros a great place for the rich to live to escape a troublesome past.
