The board of directors appoints the Chief Scientific Officer and sets out the overall strategic direction.
Public Agenda
The Board has responsibility for governing A.I.M. by establishing broad policies and setting out strategic objectives, appointing and reviewing the performance of the Chief Scientific Officer, ensuring the availability of adequate financial resources, approving annual budgets and approving additional funding for individual research projects as needed, and setting the salaries, compensation and benefits of senior management.
The board chooses one of its members to be the Chair of the Board.
