The Chief Scientific Officer is the head of Avengers Idea Mechanics, though they are answerable to the Board.
Requirements
A background (and qualifications) in scientific research of some kind. Experience running large-scale research projects.
Appointment
Appointed by the AIM Board of Directors.
Duties
Assigning funding from within the budget, and selecting research proposals to be put before the AIM Board of Directors where additional funding is required.
Managing and hiring senior staff and ensuring the smooth running of AIM. They are also encouraged to undertake their own research, in order to understand the needs of the staff.
