Heart-shaped Herb
The Heart-Shaped Herb is a plant native to Wakanda that is consumed by the new ruler and the heir to the mantle of the Black Panther, in order to obtain enhanced physical abilities, as well as entering the Ancestral Plane through a ritual process.
It had traditionally been cultivated by the Golden Tribe, however Eric Killmonger, during his brief reign, ordered all plants within the palace to be burned.
It is currently unknown if the plant is exstinct. King T'Challa has ordered expiditions of botanists to search for the plant in the wild, but to date they have not been successful.

Ecology and Habitats
The herb requires a warm, humid climate in order to grow.
The mystical qualities of the herb are only present if it has grown close to a Vibranium deposit.

Geographic Origin and Distribution
The plant was first discovered on the lower slopes of Mount Bashenga. It has been founding growing elsewhere in Wakanda, but due to a lack of vibranium in the soil, it did not possess the same mystical properties as those growing on Mount Bashenga.
